Get to Know Adam

Adam Crowley has proven to be a valuable leader for Denver.

Adam, a native Coloradoan, has numerous years of serving the public. Most notably, he served as the Executive Director of the Denver Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. During his tenure, Adam led the Denver Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce in successfully "coming out" with a new name and new identity. Adam directly oversaw a non-profit business association of more than 200 members and an annual budget of more than $100,000 as well as increased corporate sponsorship of the Chamber by 33%.

Recently, Crowley served as the Deputy Finance Director for Hickenlooper for Colorado. Before his work with Gov. Hickenlooper and the Chamber, Adam worked as the Statewide Outreach Director at Coloradan's for Fairness, the campaign to pass Referendum I. A tireless advocate, Crowley focused on reaching out to communities of faith, conservative voters, and the GLBT community. Adam was able to secure the endorsement of more than 100 faith communities and organizations in support of Referendum I.

Post graduation, Adam worked at an inner city public school in Dallas, TX. While teaching grades K – 12, Crowley also spent time tutoring at-risk students reading and math. One of his proudest accomplishments was having 100% of 3rd grade students rank proficient on the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills.

Crowley holds a Bachelor of Science in Religious studies from Southwestern Assemblies of God University and is working towards his Masters in Public Administration from the University of Colorado Denver School of Public Affairs.
